The writer Omaima Ibrahim, in her latest collection of stories, We Are Not Young, directed at children, relied on a very short short story composition through which she was able to present flashes capable of reaching the memory of young children.

The collection included stories, some short and some very short, in which they aspire to build a childish society worthy of a bright future for the country.

In the story (The Tale of Willows and Water), Omaima constitutes an artistic beauty built with high technology based on willows, birds, rivers, children, and various social issues through which she wants to remain love and strengthen society with loyalty and not to betray others and harm them.

The writer Ibrahim seeks to give every creature in her stories a job that she employs in the situation she wants to dedicate. The hunter and the gun are the cause of the birds’ fear, while the children, the poplar trees and the bearing are the creatures that embrace and shelter these birds.

The group's stories cultivate educational values, the most important of which is not harming nature, the positive role of the river in life, and the importance of the sun for creatures within a coherent linguistic level.

The group stresses the importance of enhancing children’s awareness and educational behavior in the face of war and terrorism, so we find that love grows among children, so that circumstances do not hinder them from their social occasions and their love, as Salma’s friends did on her birthday when they visited her despite the war and its dangers.

In the group, Ibrahim goes to interact with the child's imagination and psychological construction, as in the story of a dream of a tree, a message, a butterfly and a dream of science, all the way to artistic creativity in the story of the Festival of Joy.

The collection of publications by the Syrian General Book Organization is located in 31 pages and is drawn by the artist Zubaydah Al-Talaa within an expression that accurately parallels the educational meanings in the collection.
