Occupied Jerusalem-SANA

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed today that the Israeli occupation authorities' announcement of a new settlement plan in the West Bank is a flagrant violation of all international laws and covenants.

Wafa Agency quoted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying in a statement that the occupation plan aims to seize thousands of dunums of Palestinian lands south of Nablus, dismember them and isolate the villages and cities of the West Bank from each other by flooding them with a swamp of settlement outposts and streets to complete the Judaization annexation schemes.

The Foreign Ministry affirmed that the settlement plan to be implemented between Ramallah and Nablus ends the chances of establishing a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and represents a disregard for the relevant United Nations and Security Council resolutions, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities and take immediate action to end the occupation and stop its settlement and Judaization plans against the Palestinian people.

The Foreign Ministry clarified that the announcement by the occupation authorities of the new settlement plan comes after two major settlement projects being established in the south and north of occupied Jerusalem to complete the separation of the holy city from its Palestinian surroundings and falls within the context of the occupation’s endeavor to annex and Judaize the West Bank.
