Unfurnished rentals granted for the use of the tenant's main residence come under the mandatory provisions of Title I of Law No. 89-462 of July 6, 1989 on residential leases. The law also applies to “mixed” rentals, for residential and professional use (lawyer, doctor, etc.) and to ancillary premises rented with the accommodation (cellar, parking, etc.). As for furnished rentals for use as a main residence (including the “mobility” lease), they are also subject to the law of 1989 (art. 25-3 et seq.).
