All these languages, as well as Spanish, English, Berber and French can be found on Kristel Adams' album "Joy", which will be released on October 22 on Bayard Musique.
A world tour but also a real tour de force for an artist who has taken up residence in Gouvieux for many years.
“I am from Marseille but I moved to Gouvieux in 1990,” explains the singer.
I wanted to be in the provinces but not very far from Paris, to be able to work in music.
The first concerts I gave were in Gouvieux.

Her singing talents easily allow her to participate in season 1 of "The Voice", in Garou's team. "It was a great opportunity, even if I had a little trouble with the competition aspect which is not part of my way of making music," says Kristel. that I wrote the song "Joy", which gives its title to my new album. "
A disc where the scenery is total from one song to another, going from Aretha Franklin to Johnny Clegg, from bossa-nova to a Breton song.
“I don't speak all languages, most of the time I work with phonetic training,” she explains.
I sang a lot of traditional Hebrew tunes, I got used to jazz and African rhythms by accompanying Manu Dibango and Mory Kanté.
As for Aretha Franklin, I actually did a show exclusively with her songs in 2016, during a tour with eleven musicians.

No need to translate all the songs to understand that spirituality is a major theme of the album, as the only song in French on the disc, “My prayer”, by Michel Jonasz can recall.
“This album, it's not really mine, it's an album from all over the world,” sums up Kristel.
It is a sincere tribute to all these cultures.
