Festival of lifts in Italy! AC Milan provisionally returned to the top of Serie A on Saturday by recovering from a deficit of two goals to win (3-2) against Hellas Verona, while Lazio Rome overthrew Inter (3-1 ) and la Spezia, la Salernitana (2-1). Milan has come a long way. In San Siro, Stefano Pioli's men won all three points after suffering martyrdom in the first half. Facing Hellas Verona, they quickly conceded the opening goal, by Gianluca Caprari (9th). Then a fault by Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli, on Nikola Kalinic, offered a penalty to Verona, transformed by Antonin Barak (24th).
But shortly before the hour mark, Olivier Giroud gave hope to the Rossoneri by scoring with a crossed header (58th).
Franck Kessié equalized on a penalty (75th) validated by the VAR, obtained by Samu Castillejo.
And the Spaniard, again, brought, three minutes later, the winning goal (78th).
He shot a good cross, which Hellas defender Koray Günter, although well positioned, deflected with a heel in his own net.
In the standings, Milan (22 points) turned in the lead, one unit in front of Napoli who received Torino on Sunday and five in front of Inter who was also overthrown in Rome by Lazio.
