The head of the International Relations Committee of the Russian State Duma, Leonid Slutsky, warned against any attempts to violate his country's borders, stressing that Russia will always respond firmly to any violation.
Slutsky said in a statement today that Washington does not stop its attempts to carry out provocations near Russia's borders, and instead of apologizing for that, it claims that it did not violate the principles of international law, pointing out that the Americans interpret this law as they like and act according to the right of force and not the force of right.
He made it clear that no one may test Russia's patience, especially in matters of protecting state borders, stressing that response measures to any violation of these borders will always be firm and proportionate.
Yesterday, the US destroyer Shivley approached the Russian territorial waters in the Sea of Japan and tried to cross the border, which called on the Russian destroyer Admiral Tributes to confront it and keep it away from the border.
