Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) called for more team spirit after the election disaster for the Union in the federal election.
“It's not about Armin, Friedrich, Jens, Ralph or whoever,” stressed Spahn, who is also the CDU's deputy head of the Bundestag, on Saturday at the Young Union's Germany Day (JU) in front of more than 300 delegates in Münster.

The CDU federal executive committee will soon be re-elected at a special party conference.
CDU party leader Armin Laschet had announced that he would put his political ambitions on hold.
Spahn, the economic expert Friedrich Merz and Union parliamentary group leader Ralph Brinkhaus are named as candidates for his successor.
