The Israeli occupation expands settlements to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state

The Israeli occupation continues to implement its settlement plans in the Palestinian territories, especially in the occupied city of Jerusalem, to impose new facts on the ground that make it impossible to establish an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 line.

The National Office for Defending Land and Resisting Settlements of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated in its weekly report issued today on its website that the occupation announced a plan to establish thousands of settlement units on Palestinian lands in the town of Beit Safafa, south of Jerusalem, which threatens to completely separate the city from Bethlehem in the West Bank and cut off communication. Geographical between the north and south of the West Bank.

The report indicated that the occupation is also planning to expand a settlement built on the lands of the towns of Shuafat and Beit Hanina, north of occupied Jerusalem, and another settlement in the southwest of the city, with the establishment of a network of settlement roads linking them and restricting the movement of Palestinians.

The report pointed out that the occupation forces bulldozed parts of the Yusufiya cemetery adjacent to the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the eastern side to establish a settlement outpost and bulldozed large areas of Palestinian lands in the town of Beit Sahour in Bethlehem to build a settlement road, while they seized 40 dunums of Yasuf village lands east of Salfit to expand the established settlement on village lands.

The report stated that the occupation forces demolished a house in the village of Abu al-Nawwar, east of occupied Jerusalem, 6 homes in the village of al-Quboun, east of Ramallah, and an agricultural facility in the town of Haris, west of Salfit.

The report indicated that the settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, escalate their attacks on Palestinian cities and towns in the West Bank during the olive harvest season, especially in the areas south of Nablus. Also, 900 olive plantations were attacked, as they attacked olive pickers in the Ras area in Salfit

and the town of Kafr Thulth in Qalqilya, forcing them to leave their lands.

The report indicated that settlers stormed the town of Al-Tur in occupied Jerusalem, the village of Al-Touba in Hebron, and the town of Al-Mughir in Ramallah, and attacked Palestinian homes and properties, as well as Palestinian shepherds in the area of ​​Khallet Makhoul in the northern Jordan Valley.
