Today, the Israeli occupation forces suppressed an anti-settlement demonstration in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron in the West Bank.
Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces suppressed the participants in the demonstration organized by the popular committees to resist the wall and settlement, denouncing the occupation’s seizure of large areas of the region’s lands to expand settlement operations and rejecting the settlers’ daily attacks aimed at displacing them from their land.
The participants raised the Palestinian flag and slogans condemning the occupation and its policy of ethnic cleansing against them.
The daily attacks of the occupation forces and settlers threaten to forcibly displace more than 3,000 Palestinians from the Masafer Yatta area, which constitutes a gathering of 19 Palestinian villages with a land area of about 38,500 dunams.
