The Palestinian Prisoners Club warned of the deterioration of the health status of the prisoner, Nasser Abu Hamid, as a result of the arbitrary practices of the Israeli occupation against him, especially the deliberate medical negligence.
Wafa news agency quoted the club as saying in a statement today that the prisoner Abu Hamid, 49, who has been detained since 2002, suffers from a tumor on his lung and needs urgent surgery due to the severe deterioration in his health, while the occupation authorities refuse to transfer him to the hospital and provide him with the necessary medical treatment.
The club pointed out that what Abu Hamid is subjected to is part of the systematic medical neglect policy that hundreds of sick prisoners suffer from, as the occupation authorities continue to turn the prisoner's need for treatment into a tool of abuse.
