As the police report, a 54-year-old from Munich was on his motorcycle on the EBE 13 from Glonn in the direction of Feldkirchen-Westerham.
At the intersection between Hafelsberg and Frauenreuth, according to the investigation, a 70-year-old from the Ebersberg district wanted to cross the priority road in the direction of Frauenreuth with his tractor.
The tractor driver initially stopped at the intersection, but then, according to investigators, drove off even though the motorcyclist was approaching.
The tractor driver may have overlooked the motorcycle.
No mortal danger - but long-term consequences to be feared
When the tractor started moving, the front of the tractor came into contact with the motorcyclist's left leg, causing the motorcyclist to fall.
According to the first signs, the motorcyclist suffered a serious injury to his leg, according to the police, with "long-term consequences to be feared".
Fortunately, there was no acute danger to life.
Now the public prosecutor's office is investigating
The seriously injured man was taken to the Munich-Großhadern Clinic for further treatment.
While the tractor remained undamaged, the motorcycle was slightly damaged, according to the police, with property damage estimated at 1,000 euros.
The public prosecutor ordered an accident analysis report to clarify the exact course of the accident.
Criminal proceedings for negligent bodily harm were initiated against the tractor driver.
There was no evidence of alcoholism in either party, the officials concluded.
