In schools, 1,250 cases of corona have been recorded since the beginning of the school year until the 14th of this October, according to the Director of School Health in the Ministry of Education, Dr. Hatoun Al-Tawashi, who mentioned to SANA that the injuries recorded an increase during the past week, specifically in the governorates of Damascus and its countryside, Homs and Daraa.
Al-Tawashi indicated that most of the injuries were recorded among teachers and administrators, with 1,055 injuries, compared to 195 cases among students, noting that the Ministry of Education asked its directorates in the governorates to be strict in taking the precautionary measures adopted within the health protocol and to emphasize adherence to the wearing of the muzzle by educational frameworks and school workers and their immunization .
Al-Tawashi explained that the ministry will launch a training program to raise awareness and educate about the virus and the importance of precautionary measures and the vaccine to prevent infection in cooperation with the World Health Organization, including awareness campaigns within schools in the governorates, especially those with a higher prevalence rate.
