In recent years, the idea of imitating distinguished artworks using the method of printing on canvas has spread, so anyone can copy a valuable painting and delude others that it is the original.
The works that Salome presented in the Mishwar Gallery in an exhibition entitled “Experiments with techniques that cannot be counterfeited” through which he renewed the techniques and methods he used in his paintings, such as the method used in aging icons so that the painting occupied on the canvas looks like it is on wood, in addition to the foundation and the strokes of the scroll and the use of gold leaf to a degree Hard to imitate.
The artist Salomeh explained to SANA that each of the two paintings is a non-reproducible experience because of the use of lacquer material at times and other than glossy and collage techniques so that they are unique and cannot be counterfeited, indicating that his work on this does not affect the creative process, as he tries to subject the technique to the subject of the painting The opposite.
Salomeh indicated that in some of his paintings, he uses a group of frames on top of each other for a different composition with the aim of getting out of the regular rectangle to turn into a group of rectangles or frames to come up with a contemporary composition.
Salomeh referred to the theme of the integration of the arts, as he combines music with painting with dance with poetry, pointing out that he writes poetry, so why not write poetry on the board, where he wrote some of it in glossy lacquer and transparently.
From the audience, the artist, Mowaffaq Makhoul, considered the exhibition as a visual surprise, movement in the composition, and a beautiful technique worth watching, pointing to the importance of the plastic painting in the artwork.
As for the plastic artist, Ammar Bakir, he saw that the artist Salomeh has a special style, as the works are human and suggest a special imprint and a new idea inspired by his work and based on finding a way not to forge and steal his artwork, pointing to the warmth and consistency of earthy colors.
