Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - The CSU parliamentary group in the district council would like to establish a day of care.
Sabine Lorenz submitted a corresponding application to the meeting of the district committee on Monday.
More than 4,000 skilled workers would be lacking in inpatient care in Bavaria alone.
In the district, the deficiency is particularly noticeable in the facilities for elderly and disabled people, according to the application.

“Urgent care places, be it short-term care, day care or inpatient care places, cannot be created due to the lack of nursing staff.” Internationally, there is Care Day on May 12th, the birthday of Florence Nightingale (1820-1910), the pioneer of the modern Nursing. And on this very day, the district could also establish a special day that serves to appreciate and recognize the skilled workers - this is the wish of the CSU. “This day can be a very special thank you for this commitment.” In addition, the various fields of activity could be advertised, and the day could also serve as a means of networking and exchanging ideas. Impulse lectures, workshops, the presentation of the different job profiles would be conceivable,Exhibitions and the possibility of presenting facilities. Greens bit on granite with their application for a “festival of care”
Barbara Schwendner (Greens) followed Lorenz's remarks with great satisfaction, but also slightly irritated.
The background to this is that the Greens have been proposing for a long time to organize a “Celebration of Nursing” in the district, at which the skilled workers are recognized, they can network and at which exemplary examples from the care sector are honored.
So far, the Greens had bitten on granite - especially at the CSU.
"But of course I am happy if you agree to our proposal," said Schwendner to the CSU.
It was something completely different, countered Vice District Administrator Thomas Holz (CSU).
"Everything that serves the care" is good, soothed District Administrator Josef Niedermaier (FW).
Whether it's a festival or a day of care - the relevant committees will soon deal with this and the costs.
