On Saturday there was a traffic accident on the A 95 in the Sindelsdorf area, in which a total of four young people were injured, some seriously.

They were probably not buckled up.

As reported by the Weilheim traffic police, a 27-year-old man from Berlin was heading south on the A95 in his Mercedes rental car at around 1.30 p.m.

Three young men and a woman from Switzerland sat with him in the vehicle.

The group was on an excursion.

Shortly before the Sindelsdorf junction, the young man overtook another car. He then pulled loudly to the right to leave the motorway at the junction.

According to the police, he was still much too fast, so that the Mercedes deviated from the lane to the left right at the beginning of the sharp right-hand bend.

The Mercedes hurled straight ahead into the adjacent green space and then hit an earth wall that had been piled up there as a safeguard.

The vehicle was so fast that it slipped onto the earth wall and only reached its end position at the top.

Of the total of five inmates, four people were injured, some seriously, and taken to the Penzberg and Murnau hospitals.

It must be assumed that some of the people were probably not buckled up and therefore sustained the injuries, according to the police report.

The junction was closed for about an hour and a half to take care of the injured and to rescue the vehicle.

In addition to five BRK crews and three emergency doctors, the volunteer fire brigades Sindelsdorf, Penzberg and Iffeldorf with around 40 men were deployed to support the accident site.
