Dachshund in a tight spot: The Hanover fire brigade freed a dachshund from a hole in the ground in the Welfengarten in the north of the city on Saturday afternoon.
The curious four-legged friend Anton was exploring the hole below a platform when he suddenly got stuck, as a fire department spokesman said on Sunday.
The two owners tried to lure the seven-year-old dog out of the hole with shouts, but Anton got stuck.
Hanover - The alarmed fire brigade dismantled parts of the platform, shoveled the entrance of the hole in the ground and freed the dachshund.
The relieved masters leashed their somewhat disturbed but uninjured dog for the further walk.
