The fire broke out late on Saturday evening for an unexplained cause in the hall filled with plastic products, as a police spokeswoman said.
When the fire brigade arrived, the entire building was already on fire.
The rescue workers had brought the flames under control, reported the South Police Department on Sunday.
About 90 firefighters were on duty.
The extinguishing work is expected to continue until Monday.
Because of the heavy smoke development, 25 residents from an apartment building had to be brought to safety, the police said.
Loudspeaker announcements asked other residents to keep doors and windows closed.
After a risk to the population had been ruled out with an immission measurement, the residents of the apartment building were able to return to their apartments on Sunday morning.
