North Rhine-Westphalia's Labor Minister Karl-Josef Laumann accused his party of having lost sight of many of the realities of the voters' lives at the Germany Day of Young People in Union.
He has the feeling that lawyers dominate the CDU executive boards too much.
"Where is the reality of life for people who have a completely normal job?"
Münster - asked the social expert.
"We have to know how much the rent is, how expensive the fuel and the heating costs are," said Laumann.
Even at the referendum in Berlin on the expropriation of large housing companies, if almost 60 percent agreed, the CDU should at least have taken a closer look.
