Lenggries - The Lenggries Alpine Club section has re-elected its board of directors.

The Lenggries section of the Alpine Club got through the corona pandemic well.

This became clear in the reports of the board of directors at the general meeting in the Lahnerstubn.

The club life was severely restricted and most of the activities had to be canceled, but the club made good use of the time to completely renovate the club's own accommodation hut at Seekarkreuz.

And membership growth is unchecked, which is why the club will soon pass the 2000 mark.

The 36 members present also voted on a rotating basis. This resulted in three changes in the board and in the committee: Second board member Paul Stock did not take up office after 13 years and was replaced by Gerhard Henschel. Markus Kuntzke took over his honorary post for the long-time hut warden Michael Erhard. And then a new nature conservation officer had to be elected for Fritz Erhard, who died in spring, which was a painful loss for the association. Roman Haehl will continue his job in the future.

All other board members and committee members stood again for a three-year electoral term. In addition to chairman Sabine Rest, these are treasurer Kathi Riesch, secretary Andreas Wagner, youth advisor Mark Thomas, hut warden Toni Erhard (Baieralm), road warden Thomas Berger and tour warden Sepp Hundeggger. All active members were unanimously elected by the assembly by acclamation.

The reports of the club management and the statements of the members gave the impression of a very lively club life. Sabine Rest used pictures to describe the extensive renovation and expansion of the Lenggrieser Hütte. During the renovation of the dilapidated old building, there were quite a few unpleasant surprises that, however, could not stop the success of the project, she emphasized. Essentially, new guard and toilet rooms were created and the roof completely renewed. In their “Thank you to all volunteers”, Rest made it clear how their support contributed significantly to the success of the project and to reducing costs.

In her cash report, Kathi Riesch explained how the association can cope with the expensive construction project thanks to a cheap loan and the support of the main association. In the other reports it became clear that the association continued to function well despite Corona and that there had been joint activities. Then the members also passed an amendment to the statutes in accordance with the requirements of the main association. Among other things, it ensures that the volunteer allowance for active volunteers is placed on legally safe feet.

The popular climb from Sylvensteinsee via the Hölleialm to the Hochalm is to be renovated in the near future by a specialist company and with the active support of voluntary helpers from the association.

Blasius Heiß then suggested that improvements should also be made on the Sulzersteig to the Lenggrieser hut.

This is still possible with limited resources.
