A 31-year-old man attacked a pregnant woman in their shared apartment in Rehna (Northwest Mecklenburg district) on Saturday.
The suspect was a "mentally ill man," said the police.
Rehna - During the police operation in the apartment he barricaded himself and was in a psychological state of emergency - he threatened officers to attack her with a knife.
Since he posed a danger for himself and also for the police forces, the SEK was called.
In the course of the operation, the man was slightly injured.
He was taken to a hospital.
The woman was medically examined after the attack by the suspect, but was uninjured.
