A 20-year-old man threatened pedestrians with a cutter knife on a S-Bahn platform in the Wilhelmsburg district of Hamburg late on Saturday evening and later attacked police officers.
As the federal police announced on Sunday, an officer was apparently injured in the knee and wrist.
The man got off the platform into an S-Bahn, where he continued to insult and threaten other passengers.
Hamburg - He also threw a glass bottle at a man, but missed him, it was said.
The S-Bahn was finally stopped and security staff of the railway and alerted officers of the Federal Police intervened.
The man cursed and insulted the emergency services, tried to attack them and repeatedly spat at the police.
