A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a rear-end collision in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel.
A car suddenly braked heavily on the B188 near Miesterhorst on Saturday in order to drive into a forest path, as the police announced in Salzwedel on Sunday.
Therefore, the car behind it also braked, and the following motorcyclist did not come to a stop in time.
Miesterhorst - The 43-year-old was taken to a hospital.
The driver who wanted to turn into the forest path with his car left the scene of the accident without leaving his personal details.
Proceedings were initiated against him for unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident.
