Our people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan denounced the assassination of the liberated captive, Medhat Al-Saleh, by the Israeli occupation, stressing that it is a crime and a cowardly and brutal act that will only increase their clinging to their land and determination to continue the resistance until the entire soil of the Golan is liberated and returned to Syria.
The sons of the Golan received the news of Al-Saleh’s martyrdom like a thunderbolt, led by fellow family members who spent many years with him in the occupation prisons.
In an interview with SANA’s reporter in the occupied Syrian Golan, the dean of Syrian prisoners, the liberated prisoner Sedqi Al-Maqt, confirmed that the assassination of Al-Saleh is a new crime added to the Israeli enemy’s criminal record of targeting leaders and symbols of struggle and resistance. He said that the eleven bullets that penetrated his body are nothing but eleven medals on his forehead. The arenas of resistance know his heroism, and all the occupation detention camps know his legendary steadfastness, as he is loyal to his homeland, his comrades and his family.. He was a hero in resisting the occupation, a hero in his steadfastness inside the prisons, and a hero in his martyrdom.
And the freed prisoner, Fares Al-Shaer, stated that Al-Saleh’s choice of the view of his house in the site of Ain al-Tineh in the Quneitra countryside to meet the occupied Majdal Shams was not absurd. Occupation, so that the dream of the inevitable return to it remains, no matter how long the time goes.
Sheikh Jad al-Karim Nasser stressed that the assassination of the righteous occupation is a blatant attack on all the people of the occupied Syrian Golan, pointing out that the martyr was loyal to the sons of his country and the Golan, and that his assassination demonstrates the state of terror experienced by the occupation within its entity and reiterates that the Golan is Arab and Syrian and will be liberated with the efforts of the heroes of the Arab army Syrian.
The liberated captive Medhat Saleh Al-Saleh was martyred yesterday as a result of being targeted by the Israeli enemy with bursts of bullets while returning to his home in the Ain Al-Tineh site in the Quneitra countryside opposite the town of Majdal Shams in the occupied Syrian Golan.
The good martyr, born in the village of Majdal Shams in 1967, and one of the heroes of the resistance in the occupied Syrian Golan, was arrested by the Israeli occupation forces for the first time in 1983, and after his release, the occupation authorities re-arrested him again in 1985 to spend 12 years in the occupation’s prisons. In 1997, the occupation authorities released him and then worked To establish a committee to support prisoners and detainees
He was elected as a member of the People's Assembly in 1998 for the occupied Golan and then assumed the position of Director of the Office of the occupied Golan in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
Al-Saleh was subjected to several assassination attempts, including in 2011, when the Israeli occupation forces fired several times at his house in Ain al-Tineh, which made him more determined to hold on to his land and to remain close to Majdal Shams.
The good martyr is married and has a son named Golan.
