It was with the help of hand ladders, pressed against the facade and a window that the Paris firefighters extirpated and saved five people from the same family trapped in one of the two apartments in flames, early this Sunday morning in Pierrefitte.

A little before 6 a.m., a fire affected a three-story building of a small condominium, Boulevard Pasteur.
Very quickly, two apartments of 80 m2 each and located on the last level of the building fell prey to fire and smoke.
The disaster which mobilized about sixty firefighters was extinguished using four lances.
The building's zinc roof is also ravaged over an area of 400 m2.
The five victims were slightly injured: the two parents who suffered burns to the arms were taken to hospital.
On the other hand, the condition of the three children, the youngest of whom is in college, did not require specific care.

The firefighters saved five people from the fire which affected two apartments and 400 m2 of roof of a building on Boulevard Pasteur.
“There is no longer a roof above the two apartments,” explains Michel Fourcade, the mayor (PS) of Pierrefitte.
We are going to suggest that the inhabitants concerned go to a hotel with which we work for emergencies and we will then pass the baton to the insurance companies.
A family of seven with young children notably resided in the second apartment.
The causes of the incident are unknown for the moment.
To avoid any resumption of the fire, in particular in the roof, the firefighters were still on site in the morning.
