Russian MP Vitaly Milonov affirmed that the policy pursued by the United States towards Sudan exacerbates the economic situation in it and undermines peace solutions once again his country's support for the will of the Sudanese who defend freedom from external influences.
"Under pressure from the United States, the transitional authorities in Sudan canceled the policy of subsidies and redistribution of property, which exacerbated the deep economic crisis, as people starve," Milonov was quoted by Sputnik news agency as saying on his Instagram account today.
And he indicated that Russia "supports the will of the Sudanese, who are striving to stay away from external interference."
Russia had called on the political forces in Sudan to resolve the existing differences by peaceful means on the basis of a national dialogue and to refrain from any action that would lead to an escalation of tension.
