After two and a half years, the first citizens' meeting took place in the Seeshaupt community.

Around 70 citizens came to the multi-purpose hall at the sports field.

Mayor Fritz Egold honored three of them for their many years of service in the community.

Seeshaupt

- It was the first citizens' meeting for Fritz Egold since he took office as mayor of the Seeshaupt municipality in May 2020. Due to the corona, the meeting could not be held last year. "I am happy that it was still possible for us this year," said Egold. The mayor presented various projects that the municipality had planned or implemented over the past year and a half.

This includes, among other things, the acquisition of a plot of land on Osterseenstraße, adjacent to the local building yard area: There are to be proper storage locations for green waste or excavated material, for example. Egold informed the citizens that due to the size of the area it would also be possible

to force

the urgently needed

new building of a fire station

there. The establishment of a development plan for the extension of the community building yard and the possible fire station location has already been unanimously decided by the community councils.

For the

nursery district

on St.-Heinricher-Straße, an application was submitted to the municipal council for final clarification regarding the indoor and outdoor location.

According to the mayor, the application will be examined in one of the upcoming municipal council meetings with the involvement of town planners and lawyers.

Egold dared to predict that a result would be reached very soon.

"Because the project is very important to the current council."

There were 61 crimes in 2020 in the municipality

Then Hans Jocher took the floor and presented the municipal budget for the years 2019 and 2020 (detailed report will follow).

Before Matthias Fladner brought the issue of village development closer to the citizens, police chief inspector Susanne Kettel from the Penzberg police station reported on the community's

crime statistics

last year.

A total of 61 crimes were committed in the municipality, 42 of which could be solved.

The crimes were mainly brutality (15 cases) and thefts (13 cases).

106 traffic accidents occurred on the streets of Seeshaupt, injuring 18 people.

There were also seven bicycle accidents.

.

They have been recognized for their long service within the community.

Hans Kirner, former first mayor, was given the honorary title of "former mayor".

He was a member of the local council for 30 years and, according to Egold, was characterized by his willingness to compromise, his professionalism and his commitment.

Fritz Stuffer received the citizen's medal in gold.

During his 24 years as a member of the local council, he was a wastewater consultant the entire time.

He also served as second mayor for 18 years and was first mayor of the municipality for one year.

And Robert Sterff was also honored.

He was awarded the silver citizen's medal for organizing and running the Seeshaupter book flea market.

Where is there still affordable living space in Seeshaupt?

In the last part of the event, citizens were able to present their concerns publicly. It quickly became clear that the nursery district project in particular was causing a stir in the community. There were several requests to speak on this. One citizen said: "I'm just afraid that it will continue until nobody feels like it anymore." Another woman pointed out the shortage of affordable housing within the community. Mayor Egold then emphasized several times that the local council was in the process of advancing the project and finding solutions for affordable housing. “Because that's what we all stood for,” he said.
