Researcher Dr. Akram Al-Shelly, rapporteur of the Research and Studies Association in the Arab Writers Union, passed away at the age of sixty-four years.
The late, mourned by the Writers Union, born in Hama in 1957. He presented many researches in the fields of politics and society and published many books on political and social thought, including “Media and Advertising” and “Rebuilding the New World Order.” He also played an important role in the development of the Association.
Regarding the late, the head of the Writers Union, Dr. Muhammad al-Hourani, said in a statement to SANA: “Al-Shalli is one of the most important serious researchers and played a role in confronting and exposing the terrorist war through his published articles and the meetings he conducted with local and Arab satellite channels.”
Al-Hourani commented on Shelly’s efforts to move the association to a better level than it is, through the participation of some researchers in the seminars it held and organizing events in the governorates to activate cultural work in them, considering that the Union and the Research and Studies Association lost one of their most important members.
