At the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Athens police arrived at the scene and refused to arrest two people. The incident was disturbed for about 10 minutes.

According to a report from the Associated Press today (17th), Shao Lan and an 18-year-old Tibetan student entered the Acropolis as paying customers. They climbed into an iron scaffold and tried to pull up the banner. A security guard came forward and confiscated them. Later, they raised the "Light Time" flag and the Snow Mountain Lion flag, and chanted slogans, calling for boycotts to hold the Winter Olympics in Beijing next year. The Athens police then arrived and arrested them.
According to reports, Shao Lan and the Tibetan students are members of the "No Beijing 2022" movement, and both have U.S. citizenship.
