Hawangen - The Bavarian Farmers' Association (BBV) wants to provide orientation in terms of nutrition and is organizing a kind of "explanatory tour" on the production of regional food with the #EssenAusBayern tractor tour.
The tug of the Bavarian Farmers' Association recently stopped at the farm of district chairman Martin Schorer in Hawangen.
On its route through Bavaria, the 6130 TTV tractor with 130 HP, sponsored by the agricultural machinery manufacturer Deutz-Fahr, stops at various stations and projects. This time the tractor stopped in the yard of operations manager Martin Schorer. The theme this year is "Food from Bavaria". And as Martin Schorer and the district farmer Margot Walser explained in detail, this topic is highly topical. Because more and more consumers want to know where their food comes from and how it is produced. And more and more people are paying particular attention to their regional origin and they like to buy what grows and thrives on their doorstep. And the Corona crisis has even increased this need, according to the BBV. At the same time, fewer and fewer people are directly related to agriculture. It is precisely for this reason that the Bavarian Farmers' Association invites you with the help of the media representatives to get an idea of the production and processing of agricultural products.
The campaign is intended to educate people and at the same time promote regional production and stimulate the consumption of local food.
A representative survey commissioned by Food Minister Michaela Kaniber shows how important this is.
As a result, shopping behavior has changed during the Corona crisis so that 44 percent of consumers are now paying more attention to their diet and attach importance to regional and fresh food from the region.
And so at Martin Schorer's farm, Karl-Heinz Kratzer from Hawanger Käsegenuss GmbH and Hubert Dennenmoser from Allgäu Milch Käse eG proudly presented their really impressive range of different cheese products on the tables.
