Bayrischzell
- According to the police, the accident occurred on Sunday morning around 4:30 a.m.
A 20-year-old man from Rottach-Egern was driving his Audi SUV on Tannerhofstrasse when he strayed from the lane in the area of house number 30, broke through a barrier and came to a standstill in a creek bed.
When the police arrived on site, the officers found the driver to smell alcohol.
A breath test carried out showed a value of well over 1.6 per thousand.
The driver himself was uninjured in the accident, but the Audi suffered property damage of at least 15,000 euros.
Den Rottacher is now expecting criminal proceedings, among other things, for endangering road traffic.
The driver's license was withheld by the police on site.
