In the episode that aired tonight (Sunday) it was revealed that Strauss is the mysterious contender in the mask • The actor also participated in the previous season of "Survival" and was fired at the beginning • "Last season I thought everything would come easily to me, this time I came more modest", he says

In the second episode of "VIP Survival" which aired tonight (Sunday) a secret was revealed: the mysterious contestant who was behind a mask is none other than the actor Zohar Strauss, who also participated in the previous season of "Survival" and was eliminated at the beginning.

This is the first time a contestant has participated in two consecutive seasons of "Survival."

"It's very challenging to get season after season," says Strauss, 49.

"It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and I don't know if it has a precedent in history that a contender gets to two consecutive seasons."

So what made you do that?

"Last season I felt a sense of failure and failure. I did not reach my full potential and I had a pit left in my stomach. When I was approached to come for the current season - I quickly realized that this was the right thing to do."

Are you not afraid to fail again?

"I never let fear get in the way of managing me. They approached me, I said 'come on mess.'

Yet?

"It's a very scary thing. In general to go to a program like this with great exposure and difficult conditions, without sleep and without food, it's hard and scary. I came back from the island with a sense of failure, and beyond not behaving brilliantly on the island - I was also injured and suffered endless pain. "Opportunity for repair. Did I manage to repair? You'll have to wait."

Has past experience helped you this time?

"On the one hand I knew where I was going. On the other hand it's something new with other people, the cards are dealt again. Everything happens at the highest intensities, and it has to be dealt with."

Last season you tried to be a strategist.

Really the same approach to the current season?

"I drew my own conclusions. Last season I thought everything would come easier for me, and it was very difficult for me. This time I tried to be more modest, and I hope I was able to maintain my authenticity."

Did the fact that you started the game with a mask help you or hurt you?

"On the physical level being in a mask is not an easy thing. It also puts me in focus and prominence that I would not choose. But we thought it would be very surprising, and the other participants really did not know who I was and were surprised."

How did you manage to keep it a secret?

"I went to the island separately from everyone else and hid myself for the first few days."

Didn't you fear that they would bring in more contestants from last season?

"I would not call it apprehension, but you know you are going into the unknown. I took into account that there would be things I would not know, and I tried to take everything in a sporty spirit."

Are you in touch with survivors from last season?

"Yes, I'm in touch with the people who were in my immediate area, Semyon and Nicole Reznikov, and I hang out with Asi Buzaglo from time to time."

Will you participate in another season or Shemitz?

"I take this matter lightly. In my approach to art and culture, I see it as a great opportunity to be part of the tribal bonfire and part of the people of Israel who sit in front of the fire and have their say. I am happy to be a part of it."

What are you doing these days?

"Acting in the play" Cleaning the Head of the Shin Bet "with Amir Shorosh (star of" Kupat Rashit "; A.S.) and Yaniv Suissa at the Haifa Theater and the Comedy Theater, directed by Shuki Wagner. To the behind-the-scenes power struggles of the GSS.

Funny to tears. "
