Intoxicated, a 21-year-old man lay down on the road between Wabern and Uttershausen (Hessen) early on Sunday morning on his way home from a fair.
An approaching motorist noticed the sleeping man in good time and immediately secured the road, as the police announced on Monday.
Wabern - The man also notified the police about the sleeper who was blocking both lanes.
According to the police, visibility was sometimes less than 50 meters on the foggy night.
The officers woke the drunk man and took him home.
