The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population recorded 44 deaths and 871 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
The Ministry's spokesperson, Dr. Khaled Mujahid, said in a statement that the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has so far reached 318,456, and the total deaths are 17,970.
Mujahid indicated that 633 people recovered from infection with the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total of those recovered to 268,843 people to date.
Yesterday, Egypt recorded 42 deaths and 874 infections with the Corona virus.
