In the city of Malchin (Mecklenburg Lake District), burglars failed three times in a row, as the police announced on Monday. A bakery with a cafe, a car dealership and the historic train station building, in which several companies use offices, were affected on Sunday. Because of the temporal and spatial proximity, the investigators suspect a connection between the cases that were probably about cash.
Malchin - In all cases, the perpetrators damaged the entrance doors but did not get them open.
In one case shortly after midnight, two dark-clad perpetrators were observed after a loud bang and immediately escaped through a backyard.
In two cases, alarm systems caused so much noise that the perpetrators ran away.
The total damage to property was estimated at a four-digit figure.
The search for the perpetrators continued.
