Moosburg
- The Freising traffic police uncovered an illegal smuggling on the A92 on Sunday.
As the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North reported, during a general traffic control on Sunday on the A9 motorway, Freising officials noticed that three occupants of a car driven by a Syrian (20) could not show the relevant residence status.
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
The 20-year-old had stated that his passengers were his Syrian brother, his Egyptian wife and their toddler.
He and another acquaintance in Austria picked them up and brought them across the border to Germany.
The Syrian family did not have a valid residence permit.
Illegal entry and residence
As a result, it turned out that the family had traveled from the Arab Emirates to Albania at their own expense and from there had been smuggled to Austria by previously unknown perpetrators.
In Austria they were picked up by their brother, who lived in Germany, and another relative of the family father and brought to Germany.
Both must now expect a complaint because of the smuggling of foreigners.
After the necessary police measures were taken at the station, the men were released.
The two adult inmates were charged with illegal entry and illegal residence.
