Customs officers found eleven kilograms of drugs in a trunk during a check on Autobahn 5 near Neuchâtel (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district).
The two alleged drug smugglers are in custody, said the main customs office in Loerrach on Monday.
Neuchâtel - The man and the woman initially wanted to evade the control shortly after the border with France and gave each other a chase with a patrol from customs.
After the officers stopped the car in early October, they discovered a black bag containing eleven kilograms of drugs in the trunk.
The driver and the passenger were arrested and criminal proceedings were initiated against them.
