The departure of the remaining refugees from Afghanistan from the US air base in Ramstein, Palatinate to the USA has been delayed.
A small number of Afghan evacuees had tested positive for the corona virus during the examination before leaving, a spokesman for the Airbase said on request on Monday.
These people and their families would "remain isolated until they can travel safely in accordance with current health guidelines."
Ramstein - An exact date has not yet been set.
The SWR had previously reported on it.
The airbase in Ramstein, the largest US airbase outside America, was most recently one of the hubs for the onward journey of Afghans who had been flown out of Kabul by the US military after the Taliban came to power - tens of thousands took off from here across the Atlantic.
In the meantime, the onward flights to the USA were interrupted because few cases of measles had been detected.
