In a head-on collision between two cars in the Ostalb district, a person was killed on Sunday afternoon.
Two other people were seriously injured, according to police.
The accident took place on Landstrasse 1060 between the Ellwang district of Röhlingen and the city center.
Ellwangen / Aalen - A 64-year-old woman got into the opposite lane with her car in front of the Ellwangen junction for reasons that have not yet been clarified and collided head-on with the vehicle of a 31-year-old.
As a result of the collision, both cars were thrown off the road and came to a stop in the grass verge.
The 64-year-old died at the scene of the accident, her 51-year-old passenger and the 31-year-old other driver were seriously injured and taken to a hospital by helicopter and ambulance.
