Within the framework of its work in monitoring the work of bakeries and those who are accredited, the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa Governorate has organized 17 food seizures since the beginning of the week.
The director of internal trade, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awad, told SANA reporter today that the seizures affected bakeries in Al-Ghariya Al-Gharbia, Karak, Umm Walad town, and Kafr Shams, for violating the weight of bundles of bread, and bakeries in Alma, Nimr and Sheikh Saad, for violating the production of poorly made bread.
Al-Awad added that the violations included bakeries in Al-Ghariya Al-Sharqiah, Tsil, Glen, Al-Shajara, Al-Masmiya, Ghabagheb, and Al-Qunia, for non-compliance with working hours, and the person working in Tsil reserve bakery for the violation of packing two bundles of bread with one nylon bag.
The Consumer Protection Department continues its tours of the bakeries in order to ascertain the extent to which their owners comply with the laws and regulations and organize the rationing controls against violators based on Legislative Decree No. 8 of 2021.
