Three Finns showed the Hitler salute in front of the concentration camp memorial on Sunday and took photos of themselves with their mobile phones.
A patrol from the Dachau police, who had been informed about the process by a passerby, found the trio on site a short time later.
As it turned out, the men were tourists from Finland between the ages of 50 and 52, who were drunk and claimed that their action was taken as a joke.
They were obviously not aware of the German legal situation - but this did not protect them from being reported because of the use of symbols of unconstitutional organizations.
All three were also banned from entering the concentration camp memorial for life.
The investigations were in the meantime taken over by the specialist commissioner of KPI Fürstenfeldbruck.
