More than 40 ships, including the cruiser "Moskva", which is the main ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, participated in massive military exercises in the Crimea.
And a press statement issued today by the fleet and reported by Interfax news agency said: “The joint exercises between the crews of the fleet and the forces of the Southern Military District took place in Obock Square in Crimea, where the coastal forces of the Russian Navy trained to defend part of the shores of the Russian Peninsula against sabotage groups and to confront storming teams and forces. They are dropped from enemy ships.”
The statement indicated that the exercises are taking place within the framework of testing the readiness of the forces under the command of the commander of the forces of the Southern Military District, "Alexander Dvornikov", noting that the exercises are taking place with the participation of 8,000 soldiers and about 350 pieces of weapons and military vehicles.
Last April, more than 10,000 soldiers and 1,200 pieces of weapons and machinery participated in the main stage of the exercises of the Southern Military District forces and the Russian paratroopers.
