About 300 interns submitted resignation letters today (Monday) from 35 wards in hospitals across the country, the interns' organization "Registry" updated.

However, some of the resignations are departmental and unofficial.

This is because resignation letters have not yet been submitted to the human resources departments.

The interns' move comes after two tumultuous weeks between their representatives and representatives of the Ministry of Health and the government, following the new outline for shortening their shifts presented by the government, which will apply to only ten hospitals in the periphery, and the interns claim there is no real line.

Following their struggle, about 200 medical students from all over the country demonstrated yesterday in Tel Aviv on the outline.

The protesters began demonstrating in the Tel Aviv Cinematheque plaza and continued to march on Ibn Gvirol Street, and later blocked the Azrieli junction.
