Police officers in Lübeck picked up banknotes worth around 950 euros on the median of Bundesstraße 75.
An employee of the Hanseatic city reported the loose banknotes flying around on Friday when he returned a wallet he found to the police, a police spokesman said on Monday.
The 63-year-old rightful owner was able to receive the notes again on Friday.
Lübeck - According to the information, he had put his wallet on the roof of his car before setting off and left it there.
