The Koblenz public prosecutor's office is investigating alleged abuse of emergency filling stations in the heavily flood-damaged Ahr valley.
According to research by Südwestrundfunk (SWR), thousands of liters of diesel per day were given to unauthorized persons at these provisional filling stations for emergency services and flood victims.
Helpers at the gas stations have long indicated that controls are urgently needed here, the SWR reported on Thursday.
