The number of people infected with Ebola in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo in the last ten days has risen to five, after the World Health Organization announced today (Monday) three new patients.
Health authorities announced that the variant diagnosed was linked to a virus that led to the outbreak of Ebola between 2020 and 2018, which led to the deaths of more than 2,200 people and morbidity among more than a thousand more.
According to the World Health Organization, the outbreak occurred in Botswana near the city of Benny - one of the focal points of Ebola disease between the years 2020-2018.

Of the five people infected with Ebola in the last ten days, three have already died.
However, the current Ebola vaccines, made by the Mark and Johnson & Johnson companies, are an important tool in the hands of the World Health Organization, which has taken care to vaccinate people who have come into contact with Ebola patients in recent days.
