Brandenburg wants the federal government to reimburse half of the costs.

Potsdam - A final statement of costs is therefore only possible once the accounting process has been completed, it said.

With slogans such as “Relatives instead of mutants” or “Barbecue instead of quick test”, the state government launched an advertising campaign in the summer for the corona vaccination and against increasing vaccination fatigue.

According to the ministry, 59.7 percent of the population is fully vaccinated on Monday.

In a national comparison, the state is second to last.

Around 2.8 million vaccinations had been registered in Brandenburg by the end of August.

Biontech's preparation accounted for around two million of these;

The AstraZeneca vector vaccine was injected 364,000 times;

264,000 vaccinations came from the manufacturer Moderna and just under 88,000 from Jansen.

According to the information, around 45,500 minors were among those vaccinated by the end of the month under review.

Part of the total costs - almost half a million euros - was due to the work of more than ten employees at the management consulting firm Kienbaum.

According to the ministry, the consultants were responsible, among other things, for controlling the Covid 19 vaccinations in the first quarter of this year after the project management had failed at the end of 2020.
