Hundreds of Palestinians, during a solidarity stand in Hebron in the West Bank today, called on the international community and human rights and human rights institutions to urgently intervene to save the lives of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons, especially the sick and the hunger strikers.
Wafa Agency stated that the participants in the vigil organized by the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission and the Prisoners’ Club in central Hebron raised the Palestinian flag and pictures of the hunger strikers, stressing the need to continue supporting the prisoners and solidarity with them in light of the violations and brutal practices they are subjected to by the occupation amid deliberate medical neglect against them.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners inside the Israeli occupation prisons face harsh detention conditions, including about 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
