In commemoration of the values ​​of martyrdom and the sacrifices of the martyrs, the monument of the hero martyr Major General Sharaf Essam Zahreddine was opened this evening, during the ceremony commemorating the fourth anniversary of his martyrdom, with a large participation of official, popular, religious and military activities.

The monument of the martyr Zahr al-Din, who rose to prominence on October 18, 2017, while performing his national duty to defend the homeland in the face of terrorist organizations, is located in Deir ez-Zor, next to Damascus-Suwayda Road at the northern entrance to As-Suwayda Governorate. And his military uniforms, including those he was cited, and a number of pictures, decorations, shields and praises he received during his military career, while the facade of the edifice was decorated with two frescoes from Roliev, bas-relief, reflecting the values ​​of heroism, courage, gallantry and martyrdom, in order to perpetuate his heroism to remain a beacon for future generations and a witness to the sacrifice and redemption of our heroic Syrian Arab army that won against the most powerful forces of terrorism.

In a speech during the ceremony, General Mahmoud al-Shawa, Deputy Minister of Defense indicated that the building of the edifice comes as an honor from President Lieutenant-General Bashar al-Assad, commander-in-chief of the army and armed forces, in order to perpetuate martyrdom and honor the greatness of the martyrs who irrigated Syria with their pure blood to give life to us and to future generations, emphasizing the unity of the Syrian soil, including them. The martyr Zahreddine, who rose in Deir ez-Zor. He is the son of As-Suwayda Governorate, like other martyrs of the homeland and the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army who sacrifice their pure souls in various parts of Syria until it is purified from terrorism and to remain one united.

In his speech, a member of the central leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Yasser Al-Shoufi, stressed that the history of Syria is made by heroes, as an extension of the legacy of fathers and grandfathers to the championships made by the martyr Zahreddine and his companions throughout the squares of the homeland, who wrote the epics of heroism and redemption and achieved victory.

Sheikh Akl of the monotheistic Muslim sect, Youssef Jarbou, indicated in his speech that Syria, the beating heart of Arabism, is destined to face intrigues and intensify adversities, but it is also her destiny that God sent her honorable men who were determined to follow the path of heroism and redemption and dedicated themselves to defending the homeland, including the martyr Zahreddine, who represented The exploits of parents and grandparents in defense of the sanctity of the land and honor.

In the speech of the family of the martyr, his brother, Brigadier General Osama Zahreddine, said that the edifice that embraces the tomb of the martyr was built under the guidance of President al-Assad to be a symbol of all the righteous martyrs of Syria who irrigated its land with their pure blood.

The ceremony commemorating the martyrdom and the opening of the edifice was attended by Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam, Governor of As-Suwayda Hammam Sadiq Debyat, Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party Branch Fawzat Shukair, Sheikh Akl of the Unitarian Muslim Sect, Hammoud Al-Hanawi, Chairman of the Popular Committee for Supporting the Palestinian People and Resisting the Zionist Project, Dr. Saber Falhout, and a number of Christian clerics And the Islamist, members of the People’s Assembly, officers of the General Command of the army, the armed forces, the internal security forces, and a large number of civil, religious and partisan activities.
