Sonthofen - A bad accident occurred in front of a hospital in Sonthofen in Bavaria (Oberallgäu district).

A man was run over by the same van twice - and seriously injured.

Particularly spicy: According to the police, the parcel carrier should not even have driven the van.

Accident in Bavaria: parcel delivery man overlooks man - and runs over him with delivery truck

The accident occurred late Monday morning, October 18, at the Sonthofen hospital.

While reversing, the driver of a parcel service rolled over both legs of a senior citizen.

As the officials report, the 31-year-old got out because he heard an unusual movement on his vehicle and screams from several people.

Since the 81-year-old was lying on the passenger side between the front and rear tires, but the parcel delivery man got out on the driver's side, he initially did not notice the accident.

He got back in and drove forward - the car rolled over the man's legs again.

Only then did the 31-year-old realize what had happened.

As the police report, the driver involved in the accident should not have been allowed to drive.

He had only been able to show a letter from the district office confirming that his foreign driver's license was currently being rewritten.

Since the 31-year-old has been living in Germany since last year, he was not allowed to drive a vehicle until a German driver's license was issued.
