On Munich's busy traffic artery, drivers have to reckon with sometimes considerable restrictions this week.
The middle ring will be closed in parts over night due to tunnel renovations.
This week, drivers have to be prepared for nighttime disturbances on the Mittlerer Ring.
The building department of the city of Munich carries out its regular maintenance work, which is why different tunnels of the Mittlerer Ring in both directions are closed to car traffic from October 18th to 21st from 10pm to 5am.
"With consideration for the road users, the work will therefore be carried out during the low-traffic night hours," the city said in support of the reasons
Blocked tunnel in the west of the city
The Trappentreutunnel (Schwanthalerhöhe) is closed in both directions from October 18 to 19, 2021 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The following night the eastern tube in the direction of Donnersberger Brücke is closed.
The Landshuter-Allee-Tunnel in Neuhausen will then also be closed in both directions from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on the night of October 20 to 21, 2021.
A diversion route is signposted for both tunnel closures.
There are also closures in Giesing and Sendling
Not only in the west, but also in the south of the city, drivers have to accept restrictions on the Mittlerer Ring.
The Candid tunnel in Giesing, for example, will be closed in both directions from October 18 to 19, 2021 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
In Sendling, both tubes of the Brudermühltunnel are closed from October 19 to 21, 2021 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
In the Biedersteiner Tunnel in Schwabing, both tubes are also closed to car traffic on the night of October 20 to 21, 2021 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The Altstadtringtunnel also has to be maintained
Another tunnel away from the Middle Ring will also be closed for maintenance work during the night.
During the night from October 21 to 22, 2021, the Altstadtringtunnel is closed in both directions from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
